Biological control of Lygus lineolaris by Peristenus spp. in strawberry
Resource Description
Peristenus digoneutis was introduced to the US for biological control of the tarnished plant bug, Lygus lineolaris, and has since spread through much of the northeast. In strawberry fields, P. digoneutis exhibited higher parasitism rates in eastern New York, while P. pallipes was more prevalent in western New York, potentially indicating competitive interactions between the two species.
